Okay, so my upcoming choir tour has theme days.
Which, if you know me at all, you will know that this is the dorky kind of thing that I will totally go over the top with due to the fact that I’m SO UNBELIEVABLY EXCITED ABOUT IT. COME ON. IT’S LIKE HALLOWEEN. BUT FIVE DAYS STRAIGHT.
In any case, one of the days is “Model your Model Day” (they all have really hokey names too—IT’S SO GREAT). Which essentially, is a ‘dress like someone who inspires you’ day.
The person who immediately came to mind was John Green. The best would be if I could just wear a pizza shirt and jeans and my glasses and be done with it. (Of course I’d do random things like turn into giant squids of anger and complain about pennies and such and so forth throughout the day, but I mean clothes wise). The only problem is I don’t own a pizza shirt yet. And I leave on Sunday. So there’s no way I’d get it in time, even if I ordered it now. And I know that Natasha and Kiran have one which I could give them brownies in exchange for borrowing, but they are small, and I am not. So that option is most likely out too.
I could possibly make one, with iron on transfers, but that would mean that I’d have to (a) go buy iron on transfers and (b) find a red shirt. And I don’t even know if that would work, and I also don’t even know if that’s allowed with copyright and all. (But I’m buying an actual shirt eventually, I swear! So this would just be like a placeholder… I could even destroy it afterwards, but I’m not so sure I’m comfortable burning John’s face. :P)
My other thought was Darren Criss, because then I’d wear my Starkid sunglasses and talk about the Freelance Whales and my experience singing with Kermit the Frog all day. (I could possibly dress up as Harry Potter to add to it, but I DON’T KNOW. I feel as though I’d want to add more to this but I have no clue what.)
OOH. I COULD MAKE A UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN TEE-SHIRT.
WHY DO ALL OF THESE INVOLVE ME MAKING A TEE-SHIRT.
In any case, there are other options, but I’m just too excited to calm down and actually be creative.
I could be a total goober and dress up like my conductor, but I have a feeling that quite a few people will already be doing that.
But what do you think? Does anyone have any suggestions? (Either to add to my ideas, or just better ideas in general).
